About FELD

Partners

As a new initiative under the Food and Land Use Coalition, FELD is designed to complement existing efforts and to partner with others. These include our FOLU partners with long years of experience and expertise around food and land use, but also global organizations holding formal mandates in these and related areas. In order to build on, synthesise and add value to what already exists, the FELD team is pursuing a partnership approach to avoid duplication and to ensure that our own analyses around policy, the link with other SDGs and development contexts addresses the urgent demand for actionable guidance to accelerate global and national action on climate change.

Key global partners for FELD going forward, aside from fellow FOLU core partners and our funders, include relevant UN agencies, specifically FAO, UNEP and the secretariat to the UN’s conventions on climate, biodiversity and desertification; and the Climate Action Tracker as a closely related, complementary effort to track action on climate more broadly.

At national level, FELD will collaborate with technical experts, researchers and government contacts through the FABLE Consortium and FOLU country platforms, as well as other relevant actors in country, including UN Country Teams.
